Multiple Fire Crews At Scene Of Franconia Blaze Work To Put Out Flames

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue reported to the scene of a house fire on Wednesday, August 24, officials reported.

At around 12 p.m., fire crews arrived at the home in the 5900 block of Westchester Street and saw smoke coming from the roof, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.

There were no injuries reported, but the Alexandria Fire Department arrived at the scene to assist local firefighters in extinguishing the flames, authorities said.

The fire was put out and fire investigators arrived at the scene to determine the cause of the incident, officials reported.

There was no information given about damage caused by the fire or whether individuals will be displaced.
